Couples Therapy.
The couple relationship is the most dynamic and special relationship that two people share. Communication, verbal and non verbal, is often the area that couples feel tension and problematic.
Couples often find themselves in mal-adaptive reciprocal patterns that produce frustration and conflict. Learning effective communication skills and creating adaptive reciprocal patterns produce understanding and intimacy in the couplehood.
In therapy you will learn how to connect and learn how to maintain emotional contact in the couplehood. Learning how to observe your emotions will lead to the ability to change or regulate your emotions which in turn will affect the both you and your spouse as you move away from maladaptive patterns to adaptive patterns creating long term change.
